What’s something you used to worry about but don’t anymore?
Money.
Money is necessary—from the day we are born until our final days. It pays for life’s needs, including our first and last hospital bills. But beyond a certain point, its importance changes.
A person with nothing and a trillionaire are both limited by the same stomach. One may enjoy greater luxury and choice, but neither can eat beyond human limits.
Over the years, I have realized that money is a means, not the destination. Many people, reflecting on life near its end, have said they valued the memories they created, the relationships they nurtured, and the love they shared far more than the wealth they accumulated.
So today, I still respect money—but I no longer worry about it the way I once did. I invest more in experiences, kindness, and memories, because those are the true treasures that stay with us.
